On Sunday (2/11/08), we went to Chilli Padi Nonya Cafe at North Bridge Road, wanting to try their Nonya high tea buffet.. Internet say it's from 2.30 to 5.30pm.. We reached around 2.30pm.. the timing stated outside the cafe is 3pm.. ok, we waited.. HH, Mum & I were there 1st as BiL & Ling went to park car..

we 3 blur blur stood outside & waited w/o queuing.. whahaha!! by the time we realised.. Alas!! instead of being the 2nd family, we were the fourth family.. we got to know the cafe on ch 8 - a programme on buffet.. High tea buffet only cost $7.80+ on weekdays & $8.80+ on weekends!! Lunch & dinner buffets cost $13.30+ on weekdays & $14.30+ on weekends..

Guess wat? by 3pm, it opened.. & the waitress told us it fully booked? What the f***!!! we waited for half an hour.. oh.. by the way, there were many ppl after us.. the queue stretched till the length of 2 shops.. almost 50 ppl were there.. & she say it's fully booked?!!

Why din you ppl come & tell us earlier?? you ppl inside saw we ppl outside waiting in a queue & you din bother to inform us that it was fully booked? that waitress still got the cheek to say, they book till 5.30pm but if they leave early, you can come in.. Kaoz.. you think they will leave before 5.30pm meh? Singaporeans leh.. confirm eat & eat & eat its worth one.. Damn pissed man..

BiL asked for their manager's number.. Rizal is his name.. BiL called a few times but no answer.. He sent an sms saying if he's the manager of Chilli Padi Nonya Cafe, pls return call to BiL's number.. Yes, he called while we were waiting for food in Bugis Junction's Hong something (will post pics soon). BiL told him abt our unhappiness & Rizal say he'll look into it & call BiL back.. Standard answer right? Let's see if he'll call back.. Oh another thing, their reservation "hotline" 63397745 damn "HOT" ar.. No one pick up & it will ring till the fax machine.. We wanted to reserve on Sat afternoon but the whole afternoon no one pick the bloody phone!! Ling called, I called, mum called.. Kaoz..
